Rustycon is the first Science Fiction and Fantasy convention of the New Year in the greater Seattle area.
Rustycon has a focus on literature, science, art, costumes, and gaming. After dark, many fen can be found enjoying the various parties and night time events. Join us as we explore the alternate worlds of the human imagination.

Writer Eric Flint
Eric Flint is best known as the father of the 1632 or 163x series. He and David Drake collaborated on the Belisarius series(An Oblique Approach, In the Heart of Darkness, Destiny’s Shield and Fortune’s Stroke). His Official Writing career begain with Entropy, and the Strangler in 1993, which won first place in the Winter 1992 Writers of the Future contest.
He holds a Master's Degree in History. |

Artist Brent Chumley
Brent Chumley is a professional artist, graphic designer, and illustrator in the gaming industry for the last decade, and more recently as a professional photographer. His portflio includes work for Wizards of the Coast,
Steve Jackson Games, Battlefield Press, ZeitGeist Games, and many more.
He Holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Southern Illinois University.

Costumer Joanne Kirley
Is known within the Seattle Knights as "Gentleman Jack. She moonlights as an instructor at Steampunk University. JoAnne is the owner and operator of a costume shop called Costumes, Period. She specializes in Historical Fashion, but has also shown skill at Modern, Fantasy, and Anime costuming. She also performs Wardrobe Services for Film and Video productions. |
